This was our first Homeless Artists CD and the release (on this page) is considered rare. MCA Records released the same CD (with new artwork) shortly after this original version.
With the help of Father Joe Carol of St. Vincent DePaul Centers and other shelters, we auditioned homeless people all around the US, flew them to Studio West in California and put them on a record to "earn them" royalties. We used the finest professional musicians around for backing tracks/vocals etc., and came up with a world class CD of songs written and sung by Homeless (most now formally homeless) Artists. MCA Records got word of the project and offered to help with distribution of the same CD with different artwork. That album was followed up with a Christmas release featuring Patti LaBelle called, Voice Of The Homeless II, I'll Be Home For Christmas. If we can sell enough records, we would like to continue the project.
More on this later as our website is still under construction.
